2023 was a busy year at PureSelfMade. I led over 12 Wind Turbine Hands-On Workshop and some smaller projects this year. Here I cover some projects in retrospective.
For the third time we organized a hands-on wind turbine construction course at Artefact Glücksburg, again for american students of the DIS exchange program.
In May 2016 I went to Aachen (Germany) to build a Piggott wind turbine with a group of students. The Idea of the project was to enhance theoretical university lessons with a real hands-on experience in renewable energy development.
Visiting Hugh Piggott on Scoraig became like a tradition over the last few years. This year I supported Hugh as a co teacher at his annual turbine course - a great experience to teach side by side with my former teacher! Since I first got there to learn about small wind turbines, I feel connected to the place and its people.
Jonathan from PureSelfMade went on a trip to Luxembourg in March 2016. Project Windmobile, a Wind Empowerment member organization based in Luxembourg has celebrated its 10th Birthday. They pulled off a truly great event, including a conference a DIY wind turbine building course which has been led by Jonathan, together with Luiz Lavado Villa.
